Okay Here’s The Cons

I found downloading the package took more time than I thought.

This isn’t a small download package and if you’ve got slow internet speed then expect it to take a couple of hours to fully download. However, if you’ve got fast speed – maybe at the worst a half hour will do it.
If you have got slow download spped – then I would suggest that you upgrade (through the Members area) to the DVD package – This will be sent to you in a matter of days with a Track and Trace – and you still receive all the bonuses plus free upgrades for life.

If you’re new at Flight Simulators – It may at first be a little daunting

At first you may be a little overwelmed by the amount of aircraft and airports etc to choose from. However, fortunately FlightProSim is organised by category so once you get your head around it, you wont have any trouble at all to find what you are looking for.

This is Not an Arcade Game

Well I think this is actually a benefit but some people may prefer an ‘arcade’ game version of a flight simulator. But believe me, once you’ve mastered all the controls of a good Flight Simulator like this one you really are going to have a blast with it. But it is going to take awhile (just like real flying does) to fully grasp all the controls at your finger tips.

Once you’ve got the hang of it though – you’ll find it hard to leave it alone and you’ll genuinely think you’re soaring above the clouds (in fact – you can even fly over your own house).

Overall, there is no doubt that this is one of the best value flight simulators available on the market and yes, I think it is the best flight simulator for 2011.

We went into this review somewhat sceptical of the high praise it has received from others, but walked away happily converted. The game looks, sounds, and plays better than any other flight sim on the market, and has more planes, locations, and options available to boot. It will keep even the most devoted gamer busy for months, exploring the beautiful planet we call home.

All in all, this is a great game that will appeal to new and veteran flight simulation fans alike.

Best Flight Simulator Joysticks

 

If you have just bought a flight simulator game or a DVD set the first thing you will notice is that all the controls are operated off your PC keyboard.

Although this is fine and works okay, to further enhance your flying experience you really need to get yourself a joystick – or, as it’s known in the flying world – A yoke.

These are not expensive to buy and I think a necessary item for the flight simulator game.

Once you have bought one though, plug it in – takes seconds as it’s a simple USB connection and then make sure the first thing you do, is calibrate it.

This is important as it the flight simulator software detects the calibration and centers it then keeping the plane on an even keel. Otherwise if you don’t calibrate it you will constantly have to nudge the stick left or right to keep it level.

You will notice on the joystick a number of controls and switches. You will have to assign these to different controls on the aircraft. Controls for trim, brakes, landing gear and throttle can all be reassigned thus taking the control from your keyboard.
